Serie A: Napoli president questioned over false accounting involving Osimhen

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis was questioned on Wednesday as part of an investigation into the deal that brought Victor Osimhen to the club.
Napoli signed Osimhen from Ligue 1 club Lille in 2020 in a deal valued at €76 million.
Four Napoli players also joined Lille as part of the deal.

The market value for these players totals around €20 million.
Investigators alleged that the market values of the players were inflated to help Napoli’s books.
De Laurentiis, who arrived at the FIGC prosecutor’s office in Rome accompanied by his lawyer, Fabio Fulgeri, was subjected to around 90 minutes of questioning by deputy prosecutor Giuseppe Cascini as part of the investigation into false accounting, according to Calciomercato.
