Shooting Stars technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote has played down the threat of Lobi Stars ahead of their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 30 fixture.
The Oluyole Warriors will face Lobi Stars in their next NPFL game at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Sunday.
Lobi Stars are unbeaten in their last three NPFL games.
The Pride of Benue sit in second position on the table with 51 points from 29 matches.
Ogunbote believed that his team is confident of securing a good result against the Makurdi-based outfit.
“Well, football is a mind game, football is played on the field, not on print, he has the reasons to blow hot, if you look at his position on the table, so if you were in his shoes, won’t you do such a thing? ” he told the club’s media.
Shooting Stars thrashed Lobi Stars 3-0 in their previous meeting in 2022.
Lucky Emmanuel’s brace and Ayo Adejubu’s goals gave the Ibadan warlords victory in the game.
