Europa League: Boniface elated to play football again after injury layoff

Victor Boniface has expressed his delight after making his return to the pitch following a three-month injury layoff.
Boniface underwent surgery for adductor injury in January and only made his first appearance this year in Bayer Leverkusen’s DFB Pokal win over Fortuna Dusseldorf last week.
The striker came off the bench to score in Leverkusen’s UEFA Europa League 2-0 win over West Ham United on Thursday night.

It was his fifth goal in six appearances in the competition for Die Werkself this season.
“I feel good, I feel happy to be playing football again,” he said after the game.
“It was not easy after being injured for two, three months.
“I missed a lot of games and I am still trying to come back.
“I am happy to come and help my team.”
