CAF Confederation Cup: Eguma gives reason for Rivers United ouster

Rivers United technical adviser, Stanley Eguma has revealed the reason for his team’s defeat to USMA of Algeria.
Eguma stated that his team’s failure to convert their chances in the first-leg cost them a place in semi-finals.
The Pride of Rivers crashed out of the CAF Confederation Cup on a 3-1 aggregate scoreline despite their 1-0 win in Nigeria

”We lost the game in Nigeria, where we created a lot of chances and converted only one,” he stated.
“Anyone who watched the game even here will know that we had our fair chances but we failed to convert.
“Assuming we converted one or two, it would have made the difference but that’s football.”
