Former Liverpool striker, Michael Owen has revealed that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is tactically the best manager on the planet.
Owen, who spoke after Manchester City’s UEFA Champions League quarter-final 3-3 draw with Real Madrid on Tuesday night, said Guardiola is ‘absolutely exceptional.’
“I think he would teach you so much about the game,” Owen told TNT Sports about Guardiola.
“He is a student of the game. He is probably tactically the best manager on the planet at the moment, possibly ever.”
He added, “It would be a fascinating insight just to sit in the dressing room for a season with Pep Guardiola. He is absolutely exceptional.”
Guardiola has enjoyed a glittering career so far, lifting the UEFA Champions League on no fewer than three occasions.
