Former Manchester United Defender, Nemanja Vidic has hailed midfielder Kobbie Mainoo, comparing him to Real Madrid ace Luka Modric.
This comes after the 18-year-old star scored a superb goal in Man United’s Premier League 2-2 draw against Liverpool on Sunday.
Speaking on Premier League Productions, Vidic heaped praises on the England international, adding that he has been fantastic for Erik ten Hag’s side.
“Mainoo has been fantastic, especially his awareness in these areas. He reminds me sometimes of Modric,” Vidic said.
“He always hears who is behind him. You can see he did the first touch, straight away moved to the side and a great strike. It is difficult to defend that.”
