Serie A: AC Milan boss talks up Chukwueze’s improved performance

AC Milan manager, Stefano Pioli says Samuel Chukwueze has now settled down at the club following a difficult start.
The Nigerian initially struggled to replicate the impressive form which persuaded AC Milan to sign him from LaLiga club, Villarreal last summer.
The winger has however stepped up his game in recent weeks and churned out a superlative display in the 3-0 win over Leece on Saturday.

Chukwueze, who was in action for 90 minutes in the game, provided an assist and created five chances.
An elated Pioli stated that a change in mentality is responsible for the player’s new found form.
“His (Chukwueze ) mind has changed. Now he has confidence, he is positive, he believes in what he does,” Pioli was quoted by Pianetamilan.
“Having grown up in condition, he knows better what the team has to do. He knows what he has to do with and without the ball.
“I am very happy for him, he went through a difficult time. From the outside everything seems beautiful, roses and flowers, for kids who also earn a lot of money.
“He believed in it, he worked a lot and overcame a difficult moment, we are very happy for him: it pleases me, the club, the team.”
