Serie A: Why Chukwueze started AC Milan’s win at Fiorentina

AC Milan manager, Stefano Pioli has explained the reason behind his decision to start Samuel Chukwueze in Saturday’s 2-1 win at Fiorentina.
Chukwueze has endured a tough start to life at the San Siro following his arrival from La Liga club, Villarreal last summer.
The 24-year-old was a surprise inclusion in Milan’s starting line-up against Fiorentina

Pioli praised the Nigeria international for his adaptation in recent weeks.
” I spoke to Christian yesterday, he hadn’t fully recovered yet and he told me that he preferred to play a part of the match,” Pioli said after the game.
“Chukwueze was working well. He had a bit of difficulty fitting in initially, but he’s fine, he’s a quality player.”
He has scored one goal and provided one assist in 18 league appearances for the Rooseneri.
